The most surprising game was a loss of top-rankedMetros (8-6) in Puerto Plata on Friday night. Visitors were defeated by sixth ranked Marineros (7-7) 84-78 . Marineros looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Metros ' players. It was a good game for American forward Sydney Curry (203-2000, college: GCU) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 22 points, 10 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 blocks. Swingman Jonatan Bello (195-2001) contributed with 21 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Juan Guerrero (203-1993) replied with 25 points and 6 rebounds and naturalized American guard Omar Silverio (190-1998, college: WVU) added 17 points in the effort for Metros. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Marineros moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Titanes. Metros at the other side still keep top position with six games lost.
